Thank you for the grant. With the grant, our school was able to purchase class sets of dictionaries for two fourth grade and two fifth grade classes. The students were excited to delve into our new dictionaries. First things first, the students worked in partners on a Dictionary Scavenger Hunt to learn about the different features of a dictionary. They were focused and engaged. The students practiced more research skills by playing a few of rounds of Mystery Word. It makes a teacher’s heart full to hear students say, “This is fun!”. They students became more efficient in their analytical and research skills and learned some new words along the way. It’s a win!!!
