In school, we teach abstract concepts–but the students aren’t always invested in it. Bringing the hydroponics tower into our Gifted and Talented classroom allows my students the real-world experience to be a positive change in the world. Teaching them (through vertical gardening techniques) how to grow better produce with less water and resources will give them the power to conserve water in their own homes and gardens now and in the future.
